We did the hydrotherapy and very much recommend it. The staff never made us feel rushed. The chlorophyll water was refreshing coming out of the sauna.
We were not hotel guests but visited the spa based on the great reviews. We were pleased with the service and massage. We got to the spa an hour early to enjoy the steam room, sauna, and pool area which I highly recommend. This place is more expensive than what you can get in the romantic zone or at a local place but well worth the extra $$
Amazing experience!! My wife and I received the most wonderful spa treatment at Maiavé. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk in, they truly make you feel like you’re the only customers they have that day (a few times I actually wondered if that was the case but we did see other customers around). Brenda and Karen are absolutely phenomenal and took fantastic care of us. We left feeling clean, relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. It’s a bit more pricey but if you can swing it, do yourself and your partner a favor and book the tropical experience at Maiavé, I promise you will not regret it. 10/10 definitely recommend! My experience with Maiave Spa in Sheraton Buganvilias Resort was amazing. We were able to get in on a February Valentines special that came with a 60 minute couples massage, 45 minute soak in the Jacuzzi tub, a very nice romantic candle light dinner and all sorts of drinks. (Normally it would have been wine and champagne but we do not drink so they accommodated us with some really great fruit drinks that were amazing). I have nothing to compare it to as this is the first time I have done something like this. I have had just a normal 60 minute massage back in the states but this was incredible. It was very relaxing. The staff did a phenomenal job catering to our every need. We would definitely do it again.
They have private rooms with AC and the oils used are relaxing. Due to the pandemic, they took precautions like wearing masks and letting us watch them use new sheets including a sterile covers. The massage therapists that work here are no joke. They know exactly where the sore spots are. We immediately regretted getting a 45 minutes massages and when Natyalia (sp?) and Romano we immediately demanded to know if they are free tomorrow for 90 minutes. They not only said yes, but offered us a special rate! So glad they are open and a true reward.
